The weather is finally cooling off and the kids are heading back to school. Here at the accordion shop we are “in school” all year long!
Our accordion apprenticeship program is a rare opportunity to learn a truly unique craft—accordion repair. With only a handful of people in the world able to master this intricate work, we are proud to have about a dozen dedicated students in our shop learning the art and science of bringing these instruments back to life.
Accordion repair is not for everyone—it requires patience, attention to detail, and a special way of thinking to diagnose and solve the challenges of each instrument. No two accordions are alike, and each one calls for its own specialized repair plan. Watching our apprentices discover the joy of this work and develop their skills has been incredibly rewarding, and we are proud of the dedication and enthusiasm they bring to the bench each day.
